Dr. Ryan Shilian

Dr. Shilian is the medical director of the Allergy & Immunology Center Inc. He is board certified in pediatric and adult allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology. He completed his undergraduate training at University of California Los Angeles before moving to the Bay Area to attend medical school at Touro University. At University Hospitals in Cleveland, he completed his internal medicine residency and served as a chief resident. After completing his board certification in internal medicine, Dr. Shilian spent two additional years in a fellowship, specializing in pediatric and adult allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Shilian has several peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research at national and international conferences. His research on decreasing length of stay at hospitals has received international attention. He is very passionate about teaching and trains both medical students and residents. Dr. Shilian is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and serves on their Clinical Immunology & Autoimmune Diseases as well as the Respiratory & Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders Committees.

With expertise in treating both children and adults, Dr. Shilian treats allergies, asthma,  immunodeficiency, nasal polyps, eczema, contact dermatitis, hives, angioedema, mast cell disorders, and eosinophilic esophagitis.

Dr. Shilian also specializes in use of intravenous immunoglobulin as well as biologics for treatment of various allergic and immunological conditions.
